Dream: How was playing a young Zoe Saldana?

Amandla: It was very interesting to play Zoe, because we connect to a personal level, and then I have “be” it on the display. I think this really helped my performance. To create the character of Cataleya, gestures and talk with the principal reasons, Olive, and share our personal experiences. I loved her immediately. She is so sweet and companion. I could not go to the premiere of Colombia because I was working in the Hunger Games, but she just called me after seeing.

Dream: Its very hard to handle the paper… How do you get in the mindset of the character to prepare for this role?

Amandla: I think the character is very brutal and very focused, so I thought of myself as a cat, very smart and determined.

Amandla: Es gracioso porque cuando mi madre me habló de una niña que había conocido que estaba en camino a una audición, le dije, “Tú me vas a ver en televisión algún día.” Yo sólo tenía tres años en ese entonces, pero de alguna manera yo sabía que esto era lo que quería hacer. Me encanta actuar porque me permite interpretar a estos personajes en circunstancias completamente diferentes de mi propia vida, y me pongo a hacer cosas que nunca haría.

Dream: ¿Cuál sería su papel soñado?

Amandla: Además de Rue en los Juegos del Hambre, me encantaría interpretar a alguien en la industria de la moda. Una de mis películas favoritas es The Devil Wears Prada por la moda y el glamour, y la ubicación, París! Siempre he querido ir allí, desde que leí por primera vez Madeline a los seis años.

Dream: Estás trabajando actualmente en el Juegos del Hambre, ¿qué se siente ser parte de un elenco de una película que es tan esperada?

Amandla: Es surrealista porque era una gran fan de los libros antes incluso de la audición. Cuando me enteré de que iba a haber una película, yo recuerdo haber estado tan emocionada por la apertura en marzo, sin pensar que iba a ser parte del elenco! Estar interpretando a Rue es un gran honor, y no puedo esperar a ver la película.
